Background: The gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is yet another pregnancy complication for a pregnant woman, GDM happens when the body fails to produce enough insulin to regulate the sugar in blood. A healthy dietary regimen and eating behavior regarding GDM is a necessarily to ensure the health and development of pregnancy stages. Objectives: This study was conducted to assess nutrition patterns of gestation diabetes, also to correlate fasting blood glucose and HbA1c with anthropometric parameters, lifestyle and dietary pattern of maternal with GDM at Misurata. Materials and methods: Hospital-based cross section study was performed on 150 participants, whose selected randomly from Misurata Medical Centre (MMC). The data were collected thoroughly structured questionnaire and patient file. Result: The majority of participants (68 %) were fall with age group 20–35 years, greater of maternal at third trimester (55 %), maternal (22 %) had delivered babies with birth weight than 4 kg. Greater maternal (75 %) had family history with diabetes mellitus, whose diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (19 %) and obesity (72 %) obese. The results revealed that majority of participant (84 %) hadn’t therapeutic diet. Highest rates of participants (57 %, 83 %, 80 %) had consumed high glycemic, fast and fatty food. Majority of participants (78 %) had elevated fasting blood glucose (≥120 mg/dl). Greater participants (92 %) had elevated HbA1c (≥6.5 %). Highly significant correlation (P≤0.01) of HbA1c and FBS with multi-pregnancies, age, birth weight and multiparty. Whereas, a significant correlation (P≤0.05) between weight birth, age, multi-pregnancy and abortion. Conclusion: the nutrition risks factors associated GDM will threatening health pregnancy unless the maternal committed with therapeutic diet pla

Investigating the Impact of Changing the Usage Type of Existing Structure Using BIM

    Get PDF
Many real estate owners change the building in terms of the type of usage in response to changes in economic conditions and the requirements of the surrounding environment to get the best potential financial return. To investigate the possibilities of changing the real estate's usage, the owners of these existing structures turned to feasibility study experts for assistance in making the optimum alternatives. So, they need an integrated model between VE and BIM, especially applicable to an existing structure, to determine the optimum usage type for the existing structure. Value Engineering (VE) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) must be connected to profit from both outputs simultaneously. Previous studies only investigated the VE alternatives during the design phase; when they decided to reduce project costs by using construction materials alternatives, they ignored existing structure alternatives significantly when changing the usage type. This study attempts to provide an integrated model between VE and BIM that can be applied to the existing structure to assist in determining the best alternative in terms of the type of usage for such existing structures by conducting BIM methodology such as a feasibility study, including BIM software such as Revit and Primavera. A feasibility study that contains the bank rate of interest. As a result, the maximum financial return is obtained based on predetermined criteria and in compliance with decision-making requirements. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2022-08-08-06 Full Text: PD

This research aims to answer many questions: what is meant by Exchange of Monetary Debts? What are the Islam jurists’ views in the matter? What are the foundations of these views? What is the right opinion in it from our view according to Islam jurisprudence basis? The research followed inductive, comparative, and analytic approach represented in gathering Islam jurists’ views in the matter and their foundations with analysis, discussion and criticism. The search was divided into four sections; dealing with the aspects of the matter. The research concluded that: It is permissible to exchange monetary debts. It is necessary, in three cases, to comply with the arithmetic average of the declared upper and lower bounds of official exchange rate when conducting exchange: the first is if some of the exchanged monetary debts matured, and others did not. The second is if all of the exchanged monetary debts did not matured, the third case is if the exchange is a partial exchange, in which some of debts remain for one of the parties on the other

    COVID-19 Crowd Detection

    Get PDF
Object detection was introduced by researchers for face detection. Researchers explain how the detected face is divided into minor frames to be recognized by the algorithm. Due to COVID-19 and government regulations, many people face problems going to shopping centers and shop safely. It has been very hard for both the government and the people to manage social distancing. In our study, we developed a system using Raspberry Pi-4 that will detect the distance between people along with counting the number of distance and mask violations. An error message will appear on the screen in red, showing the total number of distance and mask violations, which could later be used by the customer as statistical evidence for better safety precautions

    Get PDF
Osteoporosis is a common disease in old ages, trace minerals are central components of bone density and hardness. The present study aims to measure copper, magnesium, iron, calcium and phosphorus levels in osteoporotic southern Gaza patients and control groups. A case –control study included 35 osteoporotic patients and 35 controls aged 40-70 years. Copper, magnesium iron, calcium and phosphorus levels were measured in the serum at PalestinianMedical Relieve Society-Gaza by absorption spectrophotometry method-XLFS Kit (Diasys Diagnostic System GmbH). Serum copper and magnesium levels in osteoporotic patients (74.3±9.8μg/dL 1.56±0.18mg/dl) respectively is significantly (p<0.001) lower than control (98.3±15.2μg/dL, 2.06±0.13mg/dl ). The present work indicated a positive correlation between copper and magnesium levels (r=0.627, p<0.00), positive correlation between copper and number of daily meals (r=0.263, p<0.030), and also positive correlation between calcium and daily exercises (r=0.449, p<0.010). In conclusion copper and magnesium levels are significantly lower in postmenopausal women and men with osteoporosis. Optimizing levels of those trace minerals in old people is beneficial in prevention of osteoporosis. Daily exercises and ingestion of food containing trace minerals is highly recommended for this age group

A New Chaotic System with Line of Equilibria: Dynamics, Passive Control and Circuit Design

    Get PDF
A new chaotic system with line equilibrium is introduced in this paper. This system consists of five terms with two transcendental nonlinearities and two quadratic nonlinearities. Various tools of dynamical system such as phase portraits, Lyapunov exponents, Kaplan-Yorke dimension, bifurcation diagram and Poincarè map are used. It is interesting that this system has a line of fixed points and can display chaotic attractors. Next, this paper discusses control using passive control method. One example is given to insure the theoretical analysis. Finally, for the  new chaotic system, An electronic circuit for realizing the chaotic system has been implemented. The numerical simulation by using MATLAB 2010 and implementation of circuit simulations by using MultiSIM 10.0 have been performed in this study

Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a medical emergency requiring prompt diagnosis and care. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has become integral part of management of coronary artery disease (CAD) and become lifesaving in acute STEMI patients. Microalbuminuria (MA) is a common phenomenon in patients with cardiovascular disease. Objective: To assess importance of microalbuminuria as a predictor of outcome in non-diabetic patients undergoing PCI for ACS. Subjects and methods: This study was conducted on 123 patients admitted with ACS and were divided equally into three groups [unstable angina, non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) andSTEMI). The patients were then divided into patients with negative and positive microalbuminuria (MA). Echocardiography, coronary angiography and estimation of microalbuminuria level were done to all patients. Results: Mean age of patients 54.94 ± 9.86 years. There were 28 females (22.8%) and 95 males (77.2%). MA was more common in smokers than non-smokers were. There was statistically significant decrease in EF% and increase in WMSI in patients with positive MA than those with negative MA. There was statistically significant increase in the complications and mortality rate in patients with positive MA than those with negative MA. The univariate logistic regression analysis showed statistically significant association between presence of MA and wall motion score index (WMSI) >1.25, amount of dye > 160 ml, no reflow, occurrence of complications, EF pre ≤ 55%, and EF post ≤ 59%. Conclusion: Albuminuria was a strong predictor of outcome in non-diabetic patients underwent PCI for ACS

Using Free Double Barrel Vascularized Fibular Grafting in Complex Nonunion with extensive bone loss in distal humeral fractures

    Get PDF
Distal humeral fractures are not very common. 3% of these fractures may need further surgical management [22]. Nonunion of fractures of the distal humerus is a challenging issue for orthopedic surgeons. Management could be either by using non vascularized or vascularized bone grafts, or by using a double barrel vascularized graft from the fibula. In our study we used a double barrel vascularized fibular graft for treatment this kind of nonunion. We used this procedure with different ways of fixation (either using external fixation, k wires with screws, plates) in different patients. Double barrel vascularized fibular grafting is a good option for treatment of fracture nonunion with a gap of 6 cm or more. It adds stability to the medial and lateral columns and enhances bone healing at the fracture site. Keywords: Double Barrel; Vascularized Fibular Graft; Non Union Humerus Fractur
